Erlang seems to be picking up. I have heard several development teams now using Erlang to implement applications like on-line gambling application servers (poker, BJ), back-end systems for MMORPG titles and multi-player lobby servers for regular console titles. For many years this niche was exclusively occupied by Python and Lua.
